How does it work?

Prior to the real coating process, the ionizing gun is used to blow-off dust particles from the surface. The gun features a strong air jet, rich in positive and negative ions, which helps to neutralize static charge and also helps to align the metal particles of the work piece. The danger of dust inclusions is reduced to a minimum. As no electric cable or batteries are needed, the gun is lighter in weight and more flexible at use. Without consideration for charging batteries or connecting electric cables, the ionizing gun can be operated in continuous use at temperatures between 15°C to 50°C (59°F to 122°F). The recommended operating pressure is 2 to 3 bar (29 to 44 PSI). The Ionstar is also certified under the ATEX-Standards of 2014/34/EU EX and can therefore be used in paint booths. This certification confirms the admission of the ionizing gun in explosion hazardous areas.
